If you’re here, you’re probably a lot like me. I’m also an artist who spent a long time trying to figure out how to get exposure for my music.

In fact, I spent 25 years in the industry professionally producing, packaging, marketing & distributing music for myself and a slew of major hip-hop artists and even ran Hip Hop’s very first digital record label, store and marketing platform, Amalgam Digital, as the CEO.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Grammy Nominee Joe Budden, HBO Entourage’s Saigon, Lil B the Based God, Curren$y, and even marketed and distributed 50 Cent’s first indie CD in major chain stores (which got him the infamous deal with Eminem).

But that kind of success is not easy, and it took years for me to get there. Waiting for a manager to notice you or a record label to sign you can feel like an eternity even if you’re putting in the time and hard work creating great music. My experience was pretty similar and quite frankly it’s easy to want to give up.

But even after all of that, I found myself stuck in the corporate rat race, running a label and helping other artists reach success, while my own creativity was stifled.

Without the passion for it, and hit with a lawsuit over the rights to an artist’s album, my business fell apart.

I searched far and wide, reading marketing books, watching training videos, and I spent a few years learning from the most knowledgeable people in marketing.

It wasn’t until I signed up for an email list that my perspective changed.

It took some time, (a lot of time, in fact), but having a mentor was what ultimately helped me avoid wasting even MORE time and money with trial and error.

In fact, I used what I learned from my mentor and marketing research to generate over $4,000,000 in sales.
