I’m going to walk you through the creation of each page on your site click-by-click, but I’m also going to hook you up with some custom pre-made templates that we designed specifically for music artists. This will save you time when you’re ready to get started.
Why is that important?
At the core of the strategy is your website, which will have to be optimized to most effectively attract fans, sell your music, and build a strong rapport with your tribe of followers.
Now, I’m not the most tech savvy guy, so if I could figure this out, then you’ll have no problem as you follow along. I still walk you through everything you’ll need to set it all up.
But, don’t freak out if you already have a website. It can be easily integrated into everything I’m teaching you. If you don’t, you’re in luck because this system will serve as your site.
One of the other key pieces of this funnel system is email marketing.
That’s just a fancy technical term for that process that builds rapport with your fans. The idea here is that you should be communicating with and growing your following over time. This makes sure that you have lifelong and loyal fans. This is achieved with a very thoughtful and authentic email marketing sequence delivered through what are called autoresponders.
This is also where having an understanding your audience comes in. I’ve spent 25 years researching the reasons a person will be drawn to actually purchase your music – the different conditions that need to be created before the average fan will be comfortable spending money on your art – you can craft an email sequence that is designed to hit upon those conditions and help you connect with your audience on auto-pilot.
The idea here is that you’re connecting with your audience based on pre-existing interests and sharing links to whatever digital footprint you have: music, videos, blogs, or lyrics.
What makes it effective is that this process is largely automated, so that in a very short period, you’ll be able to build rapport and connect with each fan at a personal level without writing hundreds of emails. Most musicians know that putting on shows and touring can be a massive investment, so this process also saves you plenty of money by simply sending out a few emails.
That’s part of what I teach in the Master Course. I actually teach you the psychology of crafting effective emails for attracting loyal fans, and even give you templates that you can use for your own emails. These are the same emails that I use to engage with my fans.
I break down each section of these templates so that you can take them and feel the freedom to recreate them in your own image before they go out to your fans.
Once you’ve made your adjustments, I’ll show you step-by-step how to set up your autoresponse sequence so that you can start collecting sales from your music in no time.
